‘The Beast’ and WCW legend set to lock horns in blockbuster WrestleMania 20 rematch
GOLDBERG returned to WWE for the first time in 12 years to accept Brock Lesnar’s challenge of a rematch.
The former World Heavyweight Champion and WCW Champion received a thunderous reception from fans as he made his long-awaited comeback.
Lesnar’s official advocate, who issued a challenge on behalf of his client challenging Goldberg to the blockbuster fight, appeared via satellite link earlier in the show before the icon made his return to the squared-circle.
He claimed that the challenge was not made in person by “The Beast” as he no longer thinks about the former WCW star and that if he accepted it would “p*** off” Lesnar.
Heyman’s threat seemed to have no impact on Goldberg, who after savouring his reception from the jam-packed crowd, gleefully accepted the challenge.
After telling Lesnar that he “was next” he then told the former UFC star that it also means that he’ll “be last”.

Earlier in the night, the show kicked off with WWE Universal champion Kevin Owens entering the ring accompanied by his “best friend” Jericho.
After firstly claiming Raw general manager Mick Foley had a vendetta against him by forcing him defend his title against Rollins at the upcoming Hell in the Cell pay-per-view, Owens then promised to retire his opponent in the brutal match up.
Jericho took to the mic next to blame last week’s defeat on the referee before ‘The Architect’ could listen no more and entered the arena.
After some verbal jousting between the pair, a rematch was agreed to ensure the show began with a bang.
Y2J, however, demanded his ally leave the ringside area for the contest so he could prove he was the better man without any interference, but the champ could not resist getting involved.
With Rollins on the top rope, Owens’ music hit before he made his way to ringside to distract his foe.
Y2J took advantage of the situation to lock in the Walls of Jericho, but Rollins was able to escape and eventually hit the pedigree to claim another victory.
The duo were later captured arguing backstage, but Stephanie McMahon broke the bickering up to order them to get on the same page and lead the Raw brand against Smackdown at Survivor Series.
But that might be harder said than done as Foley confirmed Raw’s main event next week will be a triple threat between Owens, Rollins and Jericho.
WWE Hall of Famer Lita sat down with Charlotte to discuss her upcoming history-making Hell in the Cell match with Sasha Banks.
And the daughter of the legendary Ric Flair claimed that she was “born” for this moment and will become a three-time Women’s Champ.
‘The Boss’ Banks responded by saying she is climbing into the intimidating steel structure to create history.
In another title match set for two weeks time, Rusev will attempt to win the US Championship back from Roman Reigns.
And he warmed up for that clash by introducing the WWE Universe to his family via a selection of snaps straight from the Rusev personal album.
Unsurprisingly, the much-maligned Reigns duly came out to cut short the trip down memory lane, but he will be wishing he had not bothered as he was on the end of a vicious attack by the Bulgarian brute.
In a six-man tag, the ‘World’s Strongest Man’ Mark Henry joined forces with the Golden Truth, Goldust and R-Truth, to defeat Titus O’Neil and the Shining Stars, Primo and Epico.
Big E, a member of Tag Team champions The New Day, defeated Sheamus in a one-on-one match up after the Celtic Warrior was distracted by Cesaro.
The unlikely duo will team-up against New Day in a fortnight to try and end their over 400 day long title reign.
Bo Dallas defeated Newcastle-born high-flyer Neville before turning on his ally Curtis Axel after the match and that was followed by women’s star Dana Brooke defeating Bayley via pinfall.
Braun Strowman continued his dominance as he defeated three men. The monstrous heavyweight defeated local Denver athletes the Mile High trio in another convincing triumph.
The man mountain grabbed the mic following his easy victory before he was interrupted by Sami Zayn, he went nose-to-nose with Strowman before being shoved to the ground.
Zayn later revealed that he felt the need to challenge Strowman as nobody else would.
In the evening’s other clash Karl Anderson, accompanied by tag partner Luke Gallows, got made to look ‘Sawft’ by Big Cass with the 7ft superstar scoring a quick victory.
